building up the painting

It is important for the apearance of the painting to follow the original procedures and materials in order to get closer to the overall expression of the artwork. The painting is built gradually from the ground, by laying individual layers of drawing, imprimiture, painting to the final varnish. The image then emerges at the very end. This procedure requires craftsmanship and experience, and especially patience, so that the result is a tru renaissance work.
